(Returning a car while OUT OF WORKING HOURS) I happily share my experience about returning a car while out of workig hours, which hopefully would be helpful for you. 😀 (※ You have to know that this is already instructed in their homepage even if you are not told in person, EXCEPT for HOW TO GET OUT of the shopping mall and HOW TO HANDLE PARKING CARD. https://www.sixt.de/mietwagen/deutschland/berlin/berlin-steglitz) ● I fully enjoyed SIXT rental service, and I am grateful to them.😀 This is the second time for me to rent a car from SIXT in Germany. The first time was satisfactory, so i used it this time again. I recommend it to my friends, too. 😀 ● Returning place is the parking lot on the 4th floor of the Schloss Strassen Center shopping mall. ● Then you can walk down to the underground floor where REWE is. Then go to the other side where another escalator is. Then go up to the ground floor. The door will be opened! ● Then go to the Sixt office where you picked a car. You can return the key and PARKING CARD together in the safe box, which is on the left side of the office. ● Indeed, i was captured inside the shopping mall for 30 minutes because it was not easy to find out the way out. I used stairs because all elevators stopped. But doors on the ground floor were closed. I had to look at people outside just as i am a prisoner.🤣 I should have gone down to the underground, but I just went back to the 4th floor to go out by foot through the ramp of a car. But the door which i opened and entered the stairs was locked. I went down to the 2nd floor, where there was an emergency contact of the shopping mall. I called the number several times, but it was not connected. I called SIXT customer service twice, who connected me to the SIXT Steglitz branch manager. He kindly told me that he would send someone to the parking lot. I was so relieved. But I was worried about the due time of returning. So i was running up and down for looking for the way out, then finally found the route i shared. Once you know that, it seems easy. But when you don't know it, it seems like a hidden secret.🤣🤣🤣 ● I ran to the office and returned the key. I was late for 7 minutes. My due time was 8:30am, but i returned it at 8:37am. I hope they will not charge over time. 😆 ● Now i am enjoying my coffee at the very shopping mall and typing this. I am so sorry for the staff who would have come to rescue me for his/her time and effort for looking for me in the Sunday early morning. Have a good day, everyone! God bless you!
